You can change the exciter’s frequency by using the slider.
You can thus observe the evolution of the oscillator’s amplitude in the region of its resonant frequency. Note the emergence of phase differences for a second order system.
In this animation, the damping ratio is 0.04 so the quality factor is 12.5
